This article aims to concentrate on the daily life of Jewish converts to Catholicism, going beyond the moment of baptism into its aftermath. Taking the conversion itself as a matter of fact, this essay examines the networks that still linked neophytes to their previous coreligionists, both in professional and in domestic (or strictly personal) matters. The article is organized into three sections : a short introduction on the social challenges represented by the Jewish ghetto in Rome, focusing on the realm of business; a short presentation of the sources that I used, in particular the well-known registers of the Jewish notaries, and the topic of conversion as it could be read through both these registers and other sources.
