Italian translation of two main works by the Iranian surrealist writer, Sadeq Hedayat (1903-1951): the novel Būf-e kūr (‘The Blind Owl’) and the collection of short stories Se qaṭr-e khūn (‘Three drops of blood’). These works had been translated from English, Persian and French into Italian in 1960 and 1979 respectively. Mario Casari has completely revised and modified those translations through a careful re-reading of the original Persian texts.
