Organizational trust creation in peer coaching events: multimodal means and representations

This is a study of the creation of trust among organizational members in a large American multinational company specializing in organizational consulting. The data is a series of peer coaching and development sessions, recorded live, and held internally throughout offices in the Pacific Region. Knowledge dissemination of this kind is seen to be essential in contemporary corporate practices, and a pragma-linguistic analysis is carried out on the multimodal visual data and the oral presentations in order to trace the discursive construal of trust, which is the essential prerequisite for successful co-construction of knowledge.
