La fenomenologia della maternità cosi come si manifesta oggi nel nostro paese tra scelte, rinvii e rinunce e nuove modi di assumere il ruolo genitoriale rimanda alla problematicità del rapporto tra i generi nell'esperienza della genitorialità e alla inadeguatezza rispetto al vivere e sentire di padri e madri. Le donne che realizzano un progetto di maternità permettono di coglierne le implicazioni psicosociali e i significati simbolici della costruzione sociale legati a tale scelta.
