An extensive literature search revealed both a number of concrete examples of digital storytelling as an educational tool, and a consolidated literature on how these storytelling techniques may be used in preschool environments. Starting from acknowledged practices and experiences, it has been possible to identify several applications of digital storytelling applied to diverse ages and in different learning contexts, and to imagine one linked to the Work Package 4 -“Models, methods and pedagogical-cultural tools” of the “Inf@nzia DIGI.tales 3.6” Project, a National Operative Programme for Research and Competitiveness 2007–2013 financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research.

Abstract
