Aspetti dell’allocuzione portoghese nella traduzione letteraria verso l’italiano

In the context of the translation of novels, short stories or plays, the translator frequently has to deal with written passages which reproduce the spoken language, as in the dialogues and in each direct communicative interaction. Besides the mastery of morphosyntactic structures that should ensure the success, the accuracy and the efficiency of the translation, we must take into account the communicative and social conventions of every language and we must consider the comparison between two cultures and two perspectives that can turn a simple grammatical matter in a complicated issue. Among the pragmatic-communicative themes of the Portuguese language, we have considered some examples of transposition of the allocutive pronouns, which characterizes the so-called “formas de tratamento” especially as it regards the courtesy and reverence. Furthermore we evaluated an important aspect of the translation activity, namely that relating to the non-coincidence of the historical period between the original and the period in which the translated version is placed; that is, the non-concomitance between the time at which the original text comes out and the period in which the translated text is placed.

Fra i temi pragmatico-comunicativi della lingua portoghese, si sono presi in considerazione alcuni esempi di trasposizione degli allocutivi, le cosiddette “forme di trattamento”, principalmente per quanto riguarda la cortesia e la riverenza. É stato valutato, inoltre, un aspetto importante della traduzione: quello relativo alla non coincidenza del periodo storico tra l’originale e il momento della traduzione, ossia la non concomitanza temporale tra l’uscita dell’originale e la sua traduzione.
