Abstract
It is described a method of use of Mixed Reality (MR) into the building process, with a particular attention for the construction site. In effect, the integration of the holographic tools -now the sole technology able to visualize a ‘mixed construction site’- into the current design workflow is necessary to improve the understanding of knowledge among actor, via the most effective communication channel: the sight. In fact, due to increasing complexity of building, coupled with the need of interventions on the existing facilities, it must adopt innovative instruments with a Natural User Interface (NUI) capable to simplify the exchange of knowledge among actors in the building process. Effectively, whereas the inefficient exchange of knowledge is one of the first critical factors in the construction world, the introduction of holographic techniques is useful to mitigate the frequent risks, such as inconsistency between design and construction, complicated cost and quality control and unsafe construction operations. This article therefore, traces the fundamental lines of a desirable use of these tools which, with an appropriate link to the BIM model, can become a more powerful and intuitive tools: in fact, this methodology allow the dynamic design and management of the site before and, subsequently, represents dynamically the real consistency of the building, during its whole Life-Cycle.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
