The architects that take service for the Congregation of Propaganda Fide from 1682, after Giuseppe Paglia, are all linked in various ways to the professional workshop of Carlo Fontana. Francesco Fontana, Carlo's son, designed the completion of Collegio Urbano, in particular the elevation of the south-west wing (here documented with unpublished drawings), the transformation of the Hall of the Congregations in the library, the decoration of the gallery on the first floor (here attributed to him), and some embellishments of the chapel of the Re Magi (1697-1700). Giovanni Battista Contini was the director of the yard. Abraham Paris, an engineer of Franconian origin, was responsible for works in the Papal State, and had been already in close contact with the workshop of Bernini and then with that of Carlo Fontana. He was sent by the Congregation to the town of Fermo for the transformation of the church and convent of the Holy Cross in a new building for the Illyrian College (project of 1696, here discussed with unpublished drawings).
Giovanni Battista Contini diresse i lavori.
