Positive Thinking and Learning from Evaluation

This chapter looks at the triangle from the perspective of one corner, evaluative inquiry, and seeks to investigate how evaluation approaches that focus on success, which we group under the label of “positive thinking” approaches (Patton 2011), can contribute to organizational learning. The intention is to understand what the idea that “we learn more from success than from failure” may mean for evaluation
