Il testo esamina l'assetto della filiera agricola del territorio ostiense a Roma evidenziandone le vicende storiche fra la Bonifica di fine Ottocento e i mutamenti d'uso del suolo. Si analizzano le aree attive e quelle in abbandono, si precisano i tipi di agricoltura e si ipotizzano nuovi usi per le aree abbandonate alla ricerca di nuove economie per i greenfields individuati mediante la ricercsa sul campo.
