Abstract
From studies carried out recently on the construction site tracks as part of research and publications arising from them it can be said that this represented a real methodology that was inserted fully into the construction process of building sites in antiquity. This article aims to verify whether a similar methodology was also used in other areas of the Roman Empire, through a movement of workers or, more simply, and more realistically, a transmission of knowledge within a world, that of the Romans, which was becoming increasingly globalized. Or, again, if in special construction conditions, ie when the work to be carried out was of some importance or complexity, it resorted to the use of the preparatory paths naturally, according to the unwritten rules that form the basis of many human behaviors and finally they coincide even in geographic areas and in different historical periods. With the intention of verifying the assumptions outlined above, and expand the series of runs were carried out a series of visits to some of the most important cities of the Roman provinces in Asia Minor, following the criteria of maximum geographical spread and the presence of certain sites public new construction, transformation or change that occurred during the Roman imperial dominance. For this last point within the cities visited the focus on buildings and type are identified in the various categories of public works, of fundamental importance for the management of political, administrative and religious, the Forum, the triumphal arches and doors, basilicas and temples; for the spectacles, the theaters, and for the body care, the Baths. Completing the types analyzed some singular buildings of their kind that play important roles in the economy of the city to be treated as public buildings in the logic of the realization of the tracks. Among the major cities we have been visited and subjected to careful investigation in search of yard tracks in Troy Troy and Pergamum, Sardis in Lydia and Ephesus, Aphrodisias and Miletus in Caria, Lycia and Patara Phaselis finally Antalya in the same province.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
