The Smart Greenhouse project started from the Parametric Hybrid Wall, presented at Aplimat conference in 2014. You can call Smart a greenhouse when its architectural structure and its materials lead to improved performances and management of indoor natural conditions. As for the architectural side, the Smart Greenhouse takes advantages of a Responsive Surface that is an architecture able to model its own shape in relation to contextual specific impulses. Regarding the sustainable environment, the structure operates on the irrigation systems making the most use of the materials’ polarization.
