Immigrazione e insicurezza. Situazioni di conflitto nella periferia di Roma. il caso di Tor Sapienza

In the last few months, the presence of reception centres for refugees and asylum seekers has caused conflicting situations in Rome. In particular, from November 2014 to March 2015 a violent conflict occurred in “Tor Sapienza”, a suburb in the East side of Rome. The chapter intends to investigate, through the words of privileged witnesses of the area, the reasons of the conflict and factors which affected the sense of security of citizens. Therefore, after a literature review about the migration/(in)security nexus and the introduction of Refugees and Asylum Seekers Protection system (SPRAR), the results of the research will be presented.
