The lack of information on the reality of the execution in the theoretical treatises on architecture was partially compensated in seventeenth century Rome by the publication of sectoral manuals and by the diffusion of yard documentations. The article signals new sources of technical expertises as well as additional theoretical and practical supports for the activity of Roman architects in mid-century.
La carenza di indicazioni sulla realtà dell’operare nei trattati teorici sull’architettura era parzialmente compensata nel Seicento romano dalla pubblicazione di manuali settoriali e dalla diffusione della documentazione di cantiere. Il contributo consiste nella segnalazione di nuove consulte tecniche e di ulteriori supporti teorico-pratici all’attività degli architetti romani nella metà del secolo.
