This book is the translation of the original Italian version of a metalinguistic test targeted for late adolescents-adults (The TAM-3, Pinto, Iliceto, 2007) into German. This test exists also in other linguistic versions (English, Spanish and French), all translated from Italian, that have been used in international research on metalinguistic awareness in relation to bilingualism and second or third language learning.The translation has been made possible thanks to a European project named MATEL (Metalinguistic Awareness Tests in European Languages) and the test has been piloted on native German-speaking High school students with very satisfactory results.
