Gynaecologic malignancies represent approximately 13% of all neoplasias and contribute to 10% of all cancer deaths in women. Brain metastases occur in 20-40% of all solid tumor malignancies. However, a brain metastasis due to a gynaecologic tumor is uncommon. In particular, ovarian cancer is responsible for 2% of all brain metastases and only 0,8% of patients with ovarian cancer develop a metastatic brain disease.
