The Bronze Age site of Chiaruccia of Fano is known for over thirty years and has been explored on several occasions since the early 80’s because of the intense building activity which involved the area. This paper sheds light on the history of the investigations that have occurred and, in particular, analyzes data resulting from the archaeological excavation took place between 2006 and 2007 that explored an area of about 150 square meters. This shows a selection of the found materials, ceramic and deer horn artefacts, which allows us to date the settlement, which probably had an area of about 2 hectares, to a period between BM3 and the BR, with two distinct levels related to appennine and subappennine cultures. The site is placed coherently among the coeval coastal sites of the Marche born probably due to the traffic in the Adriatic Sea maybe already from the middle phase of the BM. The end of Chiaruccia settlement probably corresponds to a time critical for a wide area that includes the central area of the Po valley and the Adriatic coast of Romagna and Marche.

Il contributo illustra gli scavi effettuati nel contesto del Bronzo medio e recente di Chiaruccia di Fano e ne analizza gli aspetti culturali e cronologici.
