The E-book grew out of the 3rd International Conference "Language and Law in Social Practice" held in 2014, Second University of Naples. The contributions expand on the relationship between law and language by exploring the role of legal discourse in a wide array of social and institutional settings, where it is an integral and constitutive part of the 'social practices' manifested in different cultures and societies. The book is a selection from 40 out of 90 total papers presented at the conference by scholars and researchers, and reshaped into articles after a double-blind peer review.
