The paper focuses on the southeastern palaestra of the Baths of Diocletian. Thanks to the technical analysis of the preserved structures it had been possible to deepen our knowledge about roman construction techniques, to propose a hypothesis of reconstruction of the original room and to have a better understanding about the medieval, modern and contemporary phases that transformed this space.
Il contributo descrive la palestra sud-orientale delle Terme di Diocleziano, tramite l'analisi tecnica delle cortine murarie. Propone un'ipotesi ricostruttiva della fase originale della palestra termale e ripercorre le vicende storiche e i diversi interventi di restauro realizzati dalla fondazione del monumento ai giorni nostri.
