Murmur: ascolti site-specific di memorie collettive

The digital storytelling included within the “Murmur” project touches two fundamental elements of the human being: telling stories and listening to them while being immersed in a specific place -   which can be either familiar or unknown -  and guided by the idea that a place can be discovered at the moment in which people’s life is discovered, and thus the stories. Analyzing the qualities and potentials of the Murmur project enables us to define possible future lines of interventions within the urban asset of a town, as well as to reflect over the sense and the value of “sound” events linked with a specific place of a territory. The intention is to question the common sense and to reverse the image which is usually given to a town, by motivating people to overcome the wall of their own “clichés”, so as to being moved from the hearsay to the “site specific” listening  in situ of stories never heard before, so as to contribute to the construction of a collective memory, which is conscious and mobile.

Il digital storytelling inteso nello specifico del progetto Murmur tocca due elementi fondamentali dell’essere umano: il raccontare storie e ascoltarle essendo immersi in un luogo specifico, familiare o sconosciuto guidati dall’idea che si scopre un luogo nel momento in cui si scopre la vita delle persone, quindi le storie. Analizzare le qualità e le potenzialità del progetto Murmur ci permette di tracciare possibili linee future di interventi nel tessuto urbano di una città e di riflettere sul senso e sul valore di eventi “sonori” legati ad un luogo specifico di un territorio. L'intenzione è quella di interrogare il senso comune e di capovolgere l'immagine che abitualmente si ha di una città spingendo le persone a superare il muro dei propri “luoghi comuni”, per muoversi dal sentito dire all'ascolto "site specific", sul posto, di storie mai prima d'ora ascoltate e di contribuire in questo modo alla costruzione di una memoria collettiva, consapevole e mobile.
