One of the possible variants of investigative job on PhD on architecture is the continuation of started investigations, disclosed in thesis of magister on architecture and urban planning. In structure of processive modern city the problem of renovation of industrial area is especially pressing. Under the term renovation is understood adaptable use of buildings, facilities, areas in alteration of their functional appointment. The common feature for a great number of historical cities are industrial enterprises which were established with the city, and in result of magnificition of cities areas turned out in the central zone of the city-therefore are functionally, traffic and ecologically overcharged. In this result in modern city with its great scales and possibilities, the level of quality of urban environment became subsided. Recurring use of the old industrial areas with the following renovation and primordial methods of determination of confrontations, which worked out in urban area. In such a way , the problem of searching and co-option of effective architectural and urban decisions in development of existed industrial areas inoperative or functional operative enterprises, acquires special relevance for large and the largest cities. Architectural urban planning renovation of industrial areas is the estate of urban planning, architectural-spatial, socioeconomic organizational and institutional and financial arrangements. In urban planning aspect renovation means cardinal alterations of industrial areas, directed on their adaptation to the new circumstances and requirement. Urban planning renovation encompasses in two direction: . use of territories of inoperative industrial enterprises; . removing of operative industrial enterprises to purlieus of central planning area and use of their territory. According to conditions of industrial area selected one of the renovation variants: . fractional preservation of stand redevelopment of area; . the complete breaking and new building construction. Succesful transfrontier practice in realization of renovation project of industrial areas is incontestable monument. It based on deep scientific-methods analysis of each determinated situation on accepted scientific-methods recomendations, forestalling development and project design of urban development. The objects of Architectural and urban planning of formation, provide means of effective and qualitative adoption of decision on development of urban area, urban centre and city in a whole. Multipronged way to Architectural and urban planning renovation of industrial areas, bereft functions, their appliances on practice will extricate the urban environment to the qualitative new level of development.
