The essay reconstructs the series of liturgical books made for the church of Santa Maria Paganica at L'Aquila and the activity of an extraordinary illuminator working in the Abruzzi in the second half of the 14th century. It is possible to collect a small corpus of manuscripts, produced by this illuminator, working in collaboration with other artists of the same area, which have brought to light the extraordinary and long-forgotten book market in late 14th century L'Aquila.
Il contributo ricostruisce il corredo liturgico della chiesa aquilana di Santa Maria Paganica e l'attività di uno straordinario miniatore abruzzese della seconda metà del Trecento. A questo miniatore, che collabora anche con altri artisti di cultura affine, è possibile attribuire un piccolo gruppo di codici di raffinata fattura che restituiscono visibilità al mercato librario aquilano dell'epoca.
