A theoretical reflection upon the notions of canon, European literature(s) and minor (o lesser) literature(s) as ideologically marked concepts and historical categories that are susceptible to change. Following postcolonial and neohistoricist stands, the author subscribes to John Guillory's ideas on the greater perspicuity and equity of the term "legitimation" (vs canonization). This allows to express the process of historical-interpretative construction and reconstruction of the literary tradition.

Abstract
A theoretical reflection upon the notions of canon, European literature(s) and minor (o lesser) literature(s) as ideologically marked concepts and historical categories that are susceptible to change. Following postcolonial and neohistoricist stands, the author subscribes to John Guillory's ideas on the greater perspicuity and equity of the term "legitimation" (vs canonization). This allows to express the process of historical-interpretative construction and reconstruction of the literary tradition.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
