An Italian humanist of the early sixteenth century, who in 1515 produced for the printer Giunta an edition of the nine previously published plays of Aristophanes and the editio princeps of the remaining two, Thesmophoriazusae and Lysistrata, for which he used the manuscript R (then in Urbino). He also wrote a vernacular comedy based on Aristophanes’ Wealth.
