Presented in the study is an analysis of new surveying methodologies for cataloguing architectural structures. Modern surveying techniques make it possible to acquire geometric and qualitative characteristics of works of architecture much faster and with web-based applications which generate texturized models from digital images. From the latter it is then possible to extract bi-dimensional models. Such operations lead to the creation of multilevel analytical cataloguing turning object-defining characteristics (geometry, topology, texture) into geometrically proportional and architectural elaborations, directly comparing 1D/2D/3D models with monographic-historical data.

Abstract
Presented in the study is an analysis of new surveying methodologies for cataloguing architectural structures. Modern surveying techniques make it possible to acquire geometric and qualitative characteristics of works of architecture much faster and with web-based applications which generate texturized models from digital images. From the latter it is then possible to extract bi-dimensional models. Such operations lead to the creation of multilevel analytical cataloguing turning object-defining characteristics (geometry, topology, texture) into geometrically proportional and architectural elaborations, directly comparing 1D/2D/3D models with monographic-historical data.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
