After nine months of activity, the sixth edition of the Master's Degree in Architecture for Health, aimed at architects and engineers from Sub-Saharan Africa, funded the Directorate General for Cooperation and Development of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, came to an end on November 14, 2013. During the closing ceremony, the 19 participants exhibited work they had carried out individually, a project for restructuring a hospital facility chosen in loco and an ex novo project of a health centre in loco, and the group work carried out, the preliminary design in response to an international tender for the construction of a completely new hospital in accordance with international standards and the study of a ward prototype capable of responding to the needs identified in the country of origin. The teaching course is articulated through: lectures, seminars, internships at health facilities in the Rome area, visits to recently built health structures as well as design workshops.
