The paper examines the experiences of Francisco Sá de Miranda and Francisco de Hollanda, importers of the Italian model in Portugal, respectively, for the scope and poetic for the arts, and questions about the similarities and differences between the two paths: crowned with success the first, doomed to failure, at least in the short term, the second. As a result, the Italian model will be critical in the literature of Portugal from the sixteenth century onwards, while the arts will be less permeable and the influence of the Italian Renaissance will be important, but by indirect means.

Abstract
The paper examines the experiences of Francisco Sá de Miranda and Francisco de Hollanda, importers of the Italian model in Portugal, respectively, for the scope and poetic for the arts, and questions about the similarities and differences between the two paths: crowned with success the first, doomed to failure, at least in the short term, the second. As a result, the Italian model will be critical in the literature of Portugal from the sixteenth century onwards, while the arts will be less permeable and the influence of the Italian Renaissance will be important, but by indirect means.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
