La ‘mentalità’ del melodramma di Donizetti

Some operas written by Donizetti in the Thirties witness the changing mental structure in early Risorgimento Italy. The focus is not on particular meanings, words, phrases, objects; but the "mentality" is a matter of "collective non-conscious" (Aires), as for example the conception of "speed time" in musical drama as in real life.

Alcune opere di Donizetti degli anni Trenta sono usate come testimoni di una mentalità (il "non-cosciente collettivo" di Aries), caratteristica di questa fase proto-risorgimentale. Non si tratta di contenuti e immagini concrete, quanto di strutture mentali comuni, come sopratutto quella del "tempo accelerato" nel dramma musicale come nella realtà vissuta.
