TREE SHARING habitat.

The project TREE SHARING habitat is located in the quarry of asbestos of Balangero, near Torino, which was abandoned since the 1990, when the asbestos was declared toxic and harmful. Quarries are contemporaries fractures of our territories: they are perfect symbols of the hard consequences of human industries and technologies on the natural balance. The goal of the project TREE SHARING habitat is to create a new self sufficient city to regenerate the land of the quarry. Looking over the aims of reclamation, the challenge is to recover the violet land and to give it back to the people: the city becomes an instrument to recompose the natural balance and the ecosystem of the site, a device to redeveloped the territory. The TREE SHARING habitat is based on the metaphor of tree as natural system to share resources: every tree-cell, which composes the entire site, is a synergetic part of this network, capable to create social, economics and energetic relationships to be develop and exchange.
