UptoA - Urban Planning to Architecture

The series called UPtoA wants to be the first one of a series of reports, based on a short experience of a study/research journey, UPtoA, as Urban Planning to Architecture, is the background and the container into which one can investigate the undergoing urban transformations in the environmental, architectural, technological and social terms. The idea is that of an antenna capable to become a gathering point of knowledge, instruments, methods and local practices in architecture, urban planning and technologic fields, in their different disciplinary parts included. Said that, UptoA also as a conjunction among different themes, several points of views and different methodological approaches; as a connecting point between saying and doing, that is between academical world and every day life, theory and experimentation, rule and practice. The proposal concerning the experience of the short journey of study, found its roots in the international experience of the responsibles of the series and in their interest about the knowledge of territories located in the south of the world and in emerging countries, outside the trendy circuits and (outside) the temporary time scientific interests.
