Alice Siragusa spent the calendar year of 2013 as a visiting scholar at Columbia University in the City of New York. She worked on research for her dissertation, using the resources of Columbia University library system as well as the New York Public Library. During the spring term of 2013 she participated in two courses that I conducted; a course for graduate students entitled the “The Physical Structure of Cities,” and an advanced seminar in planning history that is only open to Ph.D. students in urban planning. She audited classes offered by some of the distinguished members of the Columbia University faculty: 20th Century Cities of the Americas and Europe ‐ Gergely Baics Building New York - Andrew S. Dolkart History of the American City -‐ Gwendolyn Wright Lecture in Planning Series (LiPS).
