Protezione del lavoro e parti sociali nei sistemi di welfare europei

The book focuses on labour market policies and industrial relations in European welfare states in the context of the process of European integration. The first part of the book focuses on the diversity of European welfare states and industrial relation systems during the so called “trente glorieuses”. The second part focuses on the recent changes that are affecting labour market policies and collective representation. To what extent can these processes identify a neo-liberal convergence between European member states? These processes include active labour market policies, such as training, wage cost subsidies and more flexible labour relations. As far as industrial relations are included these processes refer to new kind of relations between employers and workers, both at the company level and at the sectoral and macro-national level.
