This chapter provides a comparison study between three popular platforms for generic programming on the GPU, namely GLSL, CUDA, and OpenCL. These technologies are used for implementing an interactive physically-based method that simulates a piece of cloth colliding with simple primitive spheres, cylinders, and planes. We assess the advantages and the drawbacks of each different technology in terms of usability and performance.

Abstract
This chapter provides a comparison study between three popular platforms for generic programming on the GPU, namely GLSL, CUDA, and OpenCL. These technologies are used for implementing an interactive physically-based method that simulates a piece of cloth colliding with simple primitive spheres, cylinders, and planes. We assess the advantages and the drawbacks of each different technology in terms of usability and performance.File allegati a questo prodotto
