In this paper develops the analysis of the primary biographical materials collected in the light of some theoretical categories and with a critical eye on the end of that research in the whole place was. In this sense, it highlights, for example, such as Craftsman, under current conditions, to be a flattering suggestion for knowledge workers. With the first second they share characteristics in relation to work: passion, creativity, skills acquired and updated continuously, a persistent - after all - a sense of personal importance of their contribution, a sense of at least partial autonomy and domination over the entire process that survives the separation of functions, at least under certain conditions (small size of the company or the project). A critical aspect is the uncertainty of their world. Nothing is made to be durable, everything is changing. A TV ad was short-lived, organizational change can lead to the replacement of your system with another, a redesign of the company website can throw the shredder design work carried out with competence, passion and commitment. The same worker can become obsolete or be forced to abandon his luggage experiential and constantly renewed, in the face of a technological change. But perhaps this is best not to think and take refuge in the nunc, where you can still identify with the reassuring figure of the artisan. Yet it would require a broader reflection. Unlike the craftsman and despite the volatility of its work, the effect on society is wider and broader. The fruit of their efforts has a much wider potential audience and may, in some cases, affect deeper into the lives of others. The craftsman does not have these responsibilities: the cognitariat yes, for better or for worse.
In questo saggio viene sviluppata l'analisi dei materiali primari biografici raccolti alla luce di alcune categorie teoriche e con uno sguardo critico relativo allo fine che la ricerca nel suo complesso si era posto. In tal senso si mette in evidenza, ad esempio, come l’uomo artigiano, nelle condizioni attuali, rappresenti una lusinghiera suggestione per i lavoratori della conoscenza. Con il primo i secondi condividono caratteristiche peculiari nel rapporto con il lavoro: passione, creatività, competenze acquisite e aggiornate continuativamente, un persistente – nonostante tutto – senso di importanza del proprio contributo personale; un senso di almeno parziale autonomia e di dominio sull’intero processo che sopravvive alla separazione in funzioni, almeno in certe condizioni (dimensioni ridotte dell’azienda o del progetto). Un aspetto critico è l’aleatorietà del loro mondo. Niente viene prodotto per essere duraturo, tutto rimane cangiante. Uno spot pubblicitario ha vita effimera, un cambiamento organizzativo può portare alla sostituzione del proprio sistema con un altro, un restyling del sito aziendale può gettare al macero un lavoro grafico svolto con competenza, passione e impegno. Lo stesso lavoratore può diventare obsoleto o essere costretto ad abbandonare il suo bagaglio esperienziale rinnovandosi continuamente, a fronte di un cambiamento tecnologico. Ma forse, a questo è meglio non pensare e rifugiarsi nel nunc, dove è ancora possibile identificarsi nella rassicurante figura dell’artigiano. Eppure sarebbe necessaria una riflessione più ampia. A differenza dell’artigiano e malgrado la volatilità del suo lavoro, l’effetto sulla società è più ampio ed esteso. Il frutto dei loro sforzi ha una platea potenziale molto più vasta e può, in alcuni casi, condizionare più in profondità le vite degli altri. L’artigiano non ha di queste responsabilità: il cognitariato sì, nel bene e nel male.
