It is for me a privilege to present the results of the second year of the research project SoURCE - Sustainable Urban Cells. The research is included in the executive programme for the scientific and technical cooperation between the Kingdom of Sweden and the Republic of Italy, valid for the period 2010-2013, and within the Significant Bilateral Projects framework, in the area defined “Energy and Environment: Sustainable Cities”, carried out by the Interdepartmental Centre CITERA, Faculty of Architecture of the Sapienza University of Rome, jointly with the Department of Urban Planning & Environment, School of Architecture + Built Environment, of the Royal Institute of Technology.

Abstract
