A re-exam of the so-called "Airtam frieze", actually a group of capitals once decorating a Buddhist temple in the Bactrian site (to-day Uzbekistan). An analysis of the composition, of the musical instruments appearing in it, of the attire of the musicians, along with comparisons with similar subjects depicted in coeval Central Asian iconography (2nd-3rd centuries CE).
