The catalogue of the exhibition, edited by the author with other colleagues from the university of Chieti, is a repertory of the illuminated manuscripts produced in the Abruzzi in the Middle Ages and Renaissance. Based on a systematic survey of the material still present in the area and on a selective research on the manuscripts kept in the main libraries in Europe and abroad, the catalogue is an essential instrument for further investigations on illumination in central Italy
