This paper considers some questions relating to various aspects of Sraffa’s early economic writings and to his early approach to political economy. The paper is divided in three sections which consider issues concerning Sraffa’s writings on money and banking, his relationship with Antonio Gramsci, and the origin of his 1925 and 1926 articles.
