The volume contains the proceedings of the conference organized by Leopardi and the 500 Italian Paola and Stefano Carras at the University of Siena, with the contribution of PAR PROJECTS 2006 dedicated to the study of the relationship between Leopardi and the tradition of the sixteenth century. Il volume raccoglie gli Atti del Convegno Leopardi e il 500 organizzato da Paola Italia e Stefano Carrai all'Università degli Studi di Siena, con il contributo PAR PROGETTI 2006, dedicato allo studio dei rapporti tra Leopardi e la tradizione del Cinquecento. Se ne ricava una linea di lettura leopardiana non solo bembesca, ma fortemente ancorata alla sperimentazione e a un uso libero e consapevole della lingua letteraria.
