In the last decade are common sensibility emerged and are recognized boosting, in terms of ideas and initiatives in political cultures existing in local mobilizations on more specific themes, reflections on their everyday behavior, creating connections, networks and campaigns who have moved on a transnational scale. The book presents the results of several studies carried out simultaneously in several European countries and focused on the study of mobilisations that resist and seek alternatives to neo-liberal globalization campaigns for a more equitable and proposals for alternative lifestyles, crossing across the field of consumption, collective action and associations. The research carried out in France, UK, Spain, Italy, Portugal and Turkey have sought to identify, on the one hand, the most relevant features common to the paths of cultural and political construction of meanings produced by the alternative globalization movement on an international scale and, on the 'On the other hand, to highlight differences between the national (political, trade unionism, history of previous movements) that most influence in determining the evolution of the scale actions locale.Questo volume aims to provide the reader with an overview of the recent history of the dynamics, components and cultures of the alternative globalization movement in Europe, not to mention that - especially in the context of these protests - what happens within the old borders is now inextricably linked to the dynamics that transcend and ignore those boundaries, to extend to action perspectives of a planetary.
l movimento per un'altra globalizzazione - definito anche come "movimento dei movimenti" o movimento per una giustizia globale - sta forse attraversando una fase di latenza ma ha senza dubbio messo in moto, in Europa e nel mondo, molteplici cambiamenti. Nell'ultimo decennio sensibilità comuni sono emerse e si sono riconosciute dando impulso, in termini di idee e di iniziative, a culture politiche già esistenti, a mobilitazioni locali su temi più specifici, a riflessioni sui propri comportamenti quotidiani, creando connessioni, reti e campagne che si sono mosse su scala transnazionale. Il libro illustra i risultati di diverse ricerche realizzate contemporaneamente in più paesi europei e centrate sullo studio delle mobilitazioni che resistono e cercano alternative alla globalizzazione di stampo neo-liberista attraverso campagne per un'economia più equa e proposte di stili di vita alternativi, che attraversano trasversalmente il campo dei consumi, dell'azione collettiva e dell'associazionismo. Le ricerche effettuate in Francia, Regno Unito, Spagna, Italia, Portogallo e Turchia hanno cercato di individuare, da un lato, le più rilevanti caratteristiche comuni relative ai percorsi di costruzione dei significati culturali e politici prodotti dal movimento alterglobal su scala internazionale e, dall'altro lato, di mettere in evidenza peculiarità nazionali (sistema politico, sindacalismo, storia dei movimenti precedenti) che influiscono maggiormente nel determinare le evoluzioni delle azioni su scala locale. Questo volume intende offrire al lettore una panoramica della storia recente delle dinamiche, delle componenti e delle culture del movimento alterglobal in Europa, senza dimenticare che - soprattutto nell'ambito di queste mobilitazioni - ciò che accade all'interno dei vecchi confini nazionali è ormai inevitabilmente legato a dinamiche che travalicano e ignorano tali confini, per estendersi a prospettive di azione di carattere planetario.
