The paper analyses and compares some lectures delivered by J.K. Galbraith and J.E. Stiglitz in the field of economics. The lectures considered are example of oral communication reviewed at various levels for a written edition. The quantitative analysis shows that the type/token ratio is identical in the two sub-corpora, so the linguistic richness is equivalent. The qualitative analysis gives evidence of variations and readjustments of the frequency distributions of particular lexico-grammatical features, as well as of rhetorical instruments.

Abstract
The paper analyses and compares some lectures delivered by J.K. Galbraith and J.E. Stiglitz in the field of economics. The lectures considered are example of oral communication reviewed at various levels for a written edition. The quantitative analysis shows that the type/token ratio is identical in the two sub-corpora, so the linguistic richness is equivalent. The qualitative analysis gives evidence of variations and readjustments of the frequency distributions of particular lexico-grammatical features, as well as of rhetorical instruments.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
