The book contains an anthology of texts in French architectural theme taken from the literature, mainly architectural magazines between the two wars, with the intent to reflect on the interpretation of the so-called reductionist functionalism attributed to the architects of the Modern Movement. The texts of Alain, Badovici, Gray, Le Corbusier, Wogenscky, Hélion, Hermant, Pingusson reveal a desire to transcend the meaning of the performance function in the design of architectural spaces

Il volume contiene un'antologia di testi a tema tratti dalla letteratura architettonica francese, prevalentemente riviste di architettura tra le due guerre, con l'intento di riflettere sulla interpretazione riduzionista del cosiddetto funzionalismo attribuito agli architetti del Movimento Moderno.
