The article analyses the new configuration of the European institutions after the entry into force of the Lisbon Treaty in 2009. It examines the new step in the process of empowerment of the European Parliament (thanks, for instance, to the extension of the co-decision procedure), and the way in which the permanent president of the European Council, Herman Van Rompuy, interpreted his role.
L'articolo analizza la nuova configurazione delle istituzioni europee dopo l'entrata in vigore del Trattato di Lisbona nel 2009. Esso esamina il nuovo passo in avanti nel processo di rafforzamento del Parlamento europeo (grazie, ad esempio, all'estensione della procedura della codecisione) e il modo in cui il presidente permanente del Consiglio europeo, Herman Van Rompuy, ha interpretato il suo ruolo.
