The use of biometric measurements is acquiring paramount importance in many security and medical applications, not only from the theoretical point of view but also from the industrial perspective and practice. This workshop aims to present and discuss various technological, methodological and application issues in these areas, especially concerning, but not limited to, advanced sensors, signal/image processing techniques, patter recognition approaches, systems and applications. Papers are solicited on all aspects of biometric theory and practice in biometric-based measurements and systems, specifically for security and medical applications.
