In Between

In between evokes suspended condition of architectural space; the interval, the reflexive pause between two entities form, between two movements, two realities… But it isn't the border between two things. It is the idea-concept to read, interpret, and thus write a grammar of contemporary interiors. In between as inner urbanities generator; In between as a generator of urban interior. Urban interior and architectural interiors: modernity has become accustomed to a process and a progression that measure the scale of the project “from a spoon to a city”: there are no breaks in form but scale jumps and disciplinary separations. The globalised contemporary city, crossed by physical and intangible flows and networks, is inhabited by fragments and large real estate concentrations carrying developments of both established and emerging economies. In between for understanding the formal reason for an approach to the project that loses the process of the moderns in its scale jumps to explore forms of internal large residential complexes, shopping malls, expo museum complex, sporting events, where is the whole design that simultaneously conceived settlement principles, architectural form, exhibition design, communication, Interior and product design. Multifunctionality and self-sufficiency are the characters of these large buildings concentrations that connote the further fragmentation of the contemporary city: what spatial relationships will be inside these settlement fabric? There is therefore still a gap between movements that are in the forms of these complex spatiality? There may be thought that informs relationships between private and collective space, between free and controlled space? May be the answer will be in the concept of in between.
