Beeing part of the promoters of the new editorial project I gave my contribution for the Journal CriOS-Critics of Spatial Orderings from the beginning. CriOS is an International review of urban studies aims at overcoming the past experience of the journal CRU, looking at the main challenges urban studies have to cope with nowadays. These challenges can be summarised in three “beyonds”, corresponding to three different sections of the journal: − Beyond democratic deliberation and the simple participated decision, assuming the emotional logic and deepening the relation between power and other forms of communication; − Beyond tolerance, towards competitive solidarity; − Beyond sustainability, looking at a new idea of urban life in tune with climate change issues.
