Fruire e trasmettere: convergenze ed antitesi nel restauro

The concept and use of the transmission system refer to the two different types of relationship that you establish between historical buildings and human beings, the first look to the actualization of the work in the manner more extensive and differentiated, the second is focused on the future, to perpetuate the existence of the artifact in time and, with it, its meaning and figurative documentary. The reasons for the use - and functional components, economic and social related to them - are usually entered in the alternative with respect to instances of the restoration by the debate specialized, fully consistent with the preservation of the cultural roots properly. Strong pressure 'external' have recently shifted the focus strongly on the themes of the use, without favor, however, a study of the problems involved. This study is attentive to the implications of the method and the repercussions concrete operational, try to highlight the risks and opportunities that help to define the sustainability of a restoration.

Il concetto di fruizione e quello di trasmissione rimandano ai due diversi tipi di rapporto che si istituiscono fra architetture storiche ed esseri umani, il primo guarda all’attualizzazione dell’opera, nelle modalità più ampie e differenziate, il secondo è rivolto al futuro, al perpetuarsi nel tempo dell’esistenza del manufatto e, con essa, del suo significato documentario e figurativo. Le ragioni della fruizione – e le componenti funzionali, economiche e sociali ad esse connesse – sono di norma poste in subordine rispetto alle istanze del restauro da parte del dibattito specialistico, in piena coerenza con le radici propriamente culturali della conservazione. Forti pressioni ‘esterne’ hanno di recente fortemente spostato l’attenzione sui temi dell’uso, senza favorire, però, un approfondimento dei problemi connessi. Tale approfondimento, attento alle implicazioni di metodo e alle ricadute operative concrete, cerca di mettere in luce rischi e opportunità che concorrono a definire la sostenibilità di un restauro.
