Abstract
Many aspects of German reality makes it all the more interesting examination of today's thinking on the restoration. Among these are certainly marked the richness of the philosophical tradition and art criticism, that many reflections that will address, consciously or not, the choices in the field of preservation find their own roots in the work of German thinkers of the twentieth century, a story drama, which saw the destruction of war for much of the artistic heritage of the country and then the inconsistencies - even in decisions relating to architecture - of a sudden reunification and not planned properly, and finally the radical and constantly changing scenarios of political, economic and social, throughout the twentieth century, forced to continually reconfigure the optical historiography and strategic objectives, and cultural activities. The complexity and richness of the Germanic world do not allow easy 'cuts' or summaries of his thought, even with respect to matters related to the conservation of works of art. The size of the open and versatile thinking, careful verification and comparison of different contributions, although typically only inferred from the context of the German language, remains unchanged until the last decades, giving the subject of a restoration in the Germanic countries are complex, multifaceted and choral response that is the basis of the choice to collect and translate the contributions of several authors, regularly discussed in the essay. Empirical product of the chronicle of the times or controversial matter for reflection, thinking about the restoration in the German-speaking countries today appears far from offering an unsettled and coherent overview but offers equally, important food for thought and not a few elements engagement with the debate that takes place simultaneously in Italy.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
