In 2004 a local court in Sahneh, a town in Kermanshah province in western Iran, informed one of the current authors that some antiquities were discovered in the possession of a smuggler. Among these items, there were a number of clay sealings dating from the Sasanian period. After some bureaucracy, these items were transferred to the treasury of the Takiya-e Moʿāven al-Molk2 in Kermanshah. These clay sealings are the object of the present article.
