Processing and interpretation of ISTAT micro-data concerning music practices and consumptions in Italy, gathered as part of the 2006 research Cittadini e tempo libero (“Citizens and free time”). The survey covers a representative sample of the entire population and is conducted every five years since 1995, so the data processed regarded music practices and consumptions of all age groups and were compared with data from previous surveys, in order to highlight trends and changes with regard to: frequencies and modes of listening; devices and way of use; diversification of tastes; participation in outdoor musical events (concerts and dancing), technological equipment, expressive activities (composition, playing, singing, dancing ). Moreover, correlations between different musical practices and other consumptions and leisure activities were also examined. Finally, different consumer profiles and patterns of relationship with music were identified, by means of multivariate analysis.

Abstract
Finally, different consumer profiles and patterns of relationship with music were identified, by means of multivariate analysis.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
